A high-energy Balkan-Gypsy band with Eastern European roots. Bombaras joins Gypsy and Balkan traditions with Eastern European Jewish music, songs of wandering, freedom, heartache and joy, and plays them as a live haflah built for dancing.
Bombaras' members play in international Gypsy groups such as The Turbans and Gute Gute. The group has performed at major venues across Israel and is currently recording its first studio album.
An original production with percussion at the centre of the stage. Three percussionists each bring a tradition, Nadav on Middle Eastern drums, Rony Iwryn on Latin percussion and Itamar Gutman on West African rhythms, joined by Jewish and Arab musicians in music composed for the project.
